Instructions
Find another trainer and challenge them to a battle. Sometimes, they will challenge you. Once you are challenged, you have to have a battle.
Select a Pokemon from your roster of Pokemon. Choose a Pokemon that has a higher level than your opponent's Pokemon. The opponent's Pokemon is displayed, but you won't know the moves they will use. Choose the best Pokemon you have to go up against theirs.
Choose a move from the Pokemon's abilities. Once the battle starts, you can choose the right moves by guessing what types of movements the enemy Pokemon is likely to use. For example, if the enemy Pokemon uses a fire Pokemon and you have a water type move from your Pokemon, then you should use this movement. Tailor your moves to the type of Pokemon they select.
Watch the battle happen. Choose another move to use that will be effective. Choose a different move instead of the same one so they can't counter it. Sometimes, your moves will fail. Continue until all of your Pokemon or the enemy's Pokemon fades.
Choose your Pokemon wisely during a battle. Look at the stats of each of your Pokemon. High scores in defense, attack and speed are the best Pokemon to battle with because these are most likely to help you with the match. Look at the Pokemon's ability. For example, if a Pokemon has the ability of "rock head" this means the Pokemon is protected from recoil damage. Under the ability stat, you'll see the benefits of that ability listed.
