Things You'll Need
Instructions
Look at the faceplates of other users' Game Boy Micros to get an idea of how they look.
Decide which color option works best for you: silver, black or famicom (gold).
Compare prices on new Game Boy Micro faceplates from your local electronics stores, online stores and the Nintendo Web site (see link below).
Purchase the new faceplate of your choice.
Remove the old faceplate. You can do this by using the faceplate-ejector tool that came with your Game Boy Micro. If you've misplaced this, you can use the end of a paper clip.
Insert the tabs on the right end of the faceplate into the slots on the inside of the Game Boy Micro.
Snap the left end of the faceplate into place, making sure that it is fastened securely and attached properly.
