"NBA Jam" for the iPhone not only gives you access to all 30 NBA teams but also a variety of secret characters as well. One group of secret characters, the mascots, enables you to play with the mascots from select teams. One example playable mascot is the Mavs Man, the mascot for the Dallas Mavericks, whose body consists of basketballs. Before you can play as the Mavs Man, or any other mascot, you must first input the correct "NBA Jam" cheat code.

Tap the "Play Now" button on the main menu and, on the "Enter Your Initials" screen, enter the initials MAS.

Select the Dallas Mavericks as your team.

Cycle through the playable characters on the Mavericks until you reach the Mavs Man. Once selected, start the game to play as him.
