About
Need for Speed: Most Wanted includes several types of upgrades that you can apply to increase the performance of your vehicles. Among the parts you can acquire are Junkman parts, which enhance different aspects of your vehicles. Junkman parts are acquired by defeating "Blacklist" racers in career mode. You can bypass the standard method of acquiring the Junkman parts by entering a cheat to acquire the Junkman Engine on some versions of the video game.
Compatibility
The Junkman Engine cheat is available only on the PlayStation 2, XBox, and XBox 360 versions of the game. None of the remaining platforms -- for the PC, GameCube, DS, GameCube, PSP and mobile devices -- include the cheat.
Entering Codes
Entering the Junkman Engine code is the the same for the PlayStation 2, XBox and XBox 360. You should use the directional pad to enter the code on all three systems, instead of the analog control sticks, which can result in user error. On the game's title screen, press "up, up, down, down, left, right, up, and down." You'll hear a confirmation tone informing you that the code was entered properly. To find the Junkman Engine, open your "Career Mode" game, enter the car parts shop and enter the back room, which is called "One Stop Shop." You can use the Junkman Engine on only one of your vehicles in Career mode.
Options
Though the Junkman Engine cheat is available only on some versions of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, the PC and GameCube versions of the game have a different cheat that provides an opportunity to receive all of the Junkman parts that you can use to upgrade your vehicles. On the title screen, enter "up, down, up, down, left, right, left and right" to unlock the "Burger King Challenge." Open the "Challenge" portion of the game to enter the race. You'll receive all of the parts by winning the "Burger King Challenge."
