Second Spade Location
A difficult item to find in this game is the second spade, because it is so well-hidden. It's in the room with the chair and broom. In fact, it's between the chair and the broom, but it's a similar color to the wall, making it difficult to spot. Just click between the chair and broom until you've found it.
Battery Location
Another item that seems to give people difficult is the battery. The battery is an item players need because it powers the flashlight. Unfortunately, the battery isn't always in the same room, but it will always been in a lighted room. You can usually find it around the border of the room.
10 Tree Names
In "Prime Suspects," there is a word search puzzle you have to solve. There are 10 tree names you have to find. They are as follows: Pine, Elm, Pecan, Willow, Maple, Hazelnut, Sumac, Chestnut, Birch and Walnut.
Hint for Jewel Box
There is a jewel box in "Prime Suspects" that players open by arranging gems in a pattern. There is a clue given in the game to help solve this: "Always move toward the last place you started." This means that you want to place and slide the gems so that when you place each gem, it slides into the spot that you placed the gem before that.
Strategy for Finding Objects
Players are given hints by the computer to help them find objects and clues. Don't waste your hints early on in an area, because they will point only to the easy-to-find objects and clues. For each area, wait until you've found all but four clues to use your hints. This will easily get you into the puzzle phase.
