Barbarian Invasion Cheats

Money

• A lot of what you can accomplish in "Barbarian Invasion" revolves around how much money you have. The game centers around building armies and expanding territories, which naturally costs money. If you need a little extra money, open the console by pressing the "~" key, located just to the left of the "1" key on most keyboards, and type either "add_money 20000" or "add_money 40000." The first code gives you an extra 20,000 denari and the second gives you an extra 40,000 denari.

Toggle Fog of War

• In "Barbarian Invasion," the fog of war is the area of the map you've discovered, but you cannot see what is actively happening there without troops, a city or watchtower present. The map is visible, but not completely blacked out like undiscovered territory. To turn the fog of war on or off, press the "~" key to open the console, type "toggle_fow" into the console and press "Enter" on your keyboard.

Increase Population

• Early in the game, you could use a population surge as it tends to be low at this point. A high population early on is useful because only big cities support big government and recruitment buildings, which leads to more powerful troops. To add to your population, press the "~" to open the console, type "add_population (city name) 4000" into the console and press the "Enter" key. For example, if your city is named Agrippina, type "add_population Agrippina 4000." If you have a city with more than one name, you must use underscores for spaces, for example: "add_population Agrippina_Romanorum." You can only add 4,000 to your population at a time.

Fast Building

• Winning the game is highly dependent on how quickly you can expand and conquer. You can fill your building queue, then complete all the building in one turn with this cheat. Press the "~" key, type "process_cq (city name)" into the console and press the "Enter" key. Use the name of your city just like you would with the increase population cheat, with underscores for spaces.
