How to Defeat the Shiva Sisters on FFXIII

"Final Fantasy" is a longstanding series that was introduced in 1987. Shiva, one of several elemental creatures, was first introduced in "Final Fantasy III" as a spell. With "Final Fantasy XIII," a new system was introduced for summoning the elemental creatures: you must win them in battle by filling a Gestalt meter. One battle that continues to confuse players is the fight involving the veteran Shiva Sisters. Winning it may seem impossible, but it really just takes a bit of strategy.

Instructions

  Change Snow into the Sentinel Paradigm at the beginning of the battle by using the Paradigm battle menu and selecting Sentinel. Snow is a male soldier and will be the only character available to you for this fight. One of the sisters will immediately cast Death on you and begin attacking. Death is a spell that starts a timer that automatically kills you once it reaches zero. You must end the fight before this happens.

  Use Steel Guard every time Snow gets a chance to perform an action.

  Continuing using Steel Guard while being attacked. This will cause the Gestalt meter in the bottom right to begin to fill. The sister who is not attacking you will constantly cast heal, affecting you, so do not worry about healing yourself.

  Fill your Gestalt meter entirely to win the battle.
