Infinite Courage Points Cheat

• The Infinite Courage Points Cheat is available on the GameCube, PS2, Xbox and PC versions of the game. This cheat will give you a source for infinite courage points. When you are on the level "The Clouds Burst" you will come across an elf called Lianna. She will tell you to leave because there are goblin reinforcements coming immediately, but do not leave. Instead stay there and watch Lianna kill the goblin reinforcements or kill them yourself. Grab all courage points you can once the goblins have been defeated. The goblins will not stop coming so the amount of courage points you can collect is unlimited.

Lower the Gate on the Last Level Cheat

• On "The Clouds Burst" level, the final level of the game, you have to help "Beorn" lower the bridge; to do this you have to go onto the path that leads under the bridge. When you are directly under the bridge use your walking stick to perform a stick jump. This will trigger a shockwave that sets off explosives and will cause the bridge to lower. You can use this cheat on the GameCube, PS2, Xbox and PC.

Wine Bottle Riddle in Lake Town

• In the GameCube, PS2, Xbox and PC versions of the game you can use a cheat to solve the riddle that involves wine bottles in "Lake Town." Once you have all the wine bottles, a character called "Malloc" will tell you a riddle about how you should arrange the bottles. The correct arrangement of the wine bottles is: yellow wine bottle first, blue wine bottle, red wine bottle, black wine bottle and finally the purple wine bottle.

Shield Rune Cheat

• The Nintendo Game Boy version of the game is slightly different than the others; the Shield Rune Cheat is only applicable to the Nintendo Game Boy. This cheat will get you the "Shield Rune" to help you protect yourself during the game. When you first start the game you begin at Bilbo's House. From here walk down the pathway on the right and you will come across a hobbit. Talk to the hobbit and get the firecrackers from him. Then go to the covered up well and use the firecrackers to open it up. Descend into the well and you will find a chest; press "A" to open and inside you will find the "Shield Rune."
