Cheats on How to Get Clothes on Mercenaries 2

Xbox 360

• In order to utilize the cheats associated with clothing in "Mercenaries 2," you must first install an update for your Xbox 360. The update, which became available online on Oct. 31, 2008, allows you to access all clothing options within the game, giving you the ability to alter your look as you desire. After the update has been installed, take out your PDA within the game. Enter "LB", "RB," "RB," "LB," "RB," "LB," "LB," "RB," "RB," "RB" and "LB." This will prompt the cheat mode within the game. Close the PDA and reopen it. After you have reopened the PDA, press "up," "right," "down," "left" and "up" to access -- or unlock -- all costumes.

PS3

• As with the Xbox 360, you must first install an update for "Mercenaries 2" before you can access the cheats. Once the update has been installed, take out your in-game PDA and press "L2," "R2," "R2," "L2," "R2," "L2," "L2," "R2," "R2," "R2" and "L2." After you have entered this sequence of commands, close the in-game PDA and then reopen it. Once reopened, press "up," "right," "down," "left" and "up." This will open all costumes within the game.

Character Costume Alternates

• Both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions of "Mercenaries 2" allow you to alter the costumes of three characters -- Jennifer Mui, Chris Jacobs and Mattias Nilsson -- after successfully completing a Level 3 weapons challenge. The weapons challenge takes place at PMC Villa. You must use the Fiona character during the challenges, which includes use of a pistol, the emplacement weapons and grenades, as well as a sniper challenge. Once it has been completed, Mui will have three alternative costumes: tactical, sleeveless and a catsuit. Jacobs will have camo, an off-duty costume and a chicken suit. Nilsson will have a suit, a jacket and a chicken costume option.

PS2 And Updates

• If you own "Mercenaries 2" for PS2, you can also utilize a cheat to unlock all costumes within the clothing shop. Simply take out your PDA and locate the factions screen. The factions screen is located under the "Info" tab on your in-game PDA. Once you have opened the factions screen, enter "up," "down," "left," "left," "right," "left" and "right." You will now have access to all clothing options. This cheat does not require an update since the PlayStation 2 cannot go online. Updates for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 can be accessed once your device is connected to the Internet. You will receive notice of all available updates that can be downloaded for a particular game.
