Activate the Use of Cheat Codes
Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar features a number of cheats that can be put into effect during gameplay. For these cheats to work, you must start the game with the cheat command-line parameter. Once that has been done, type any of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.
Ship Cheats
To clone a ship, select it, then press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys at the same time. To heal the ship that is currently selected in the game, hold down the "Ctrl" and "H" keys at the same time. To upgrade the selected ship press, "Ctrl" and "A" simultaneously, and to teleport the selected ship to where your mouse pointer is on the map, press "Ctrl" and "T." If you want to add a new battleship during the game, press "Ctrl" and "B" together.
Planet and Race Cheats
If you want a United Planets Meeting, you must press the "Ctrl" and "V" keys together, and to improve the quality of the planet you have selected, press "Ctrl" and "P" together. To restart your game on a new map with a new race, press "Ctrl" and "N" at the same time, and to complete social projects, hold down "Ctrl" and "J" simultaneously. To add 10,000 BC, press "Ctrl" and "M" simultaneously, and to assign remaining planets to Cajor races, hold down "Ctrl" and "L" together.
More Cheats
To change your alignment during the game, you must press the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "M" keys simultaneously. To spawn a minor race, press "Ctrl," "Shift" and "D" at the same time. If you want to spawn different star bases, then press "Ctrl," "Shift" and "B" together. To receive a quarterly report immediately, press "Ctrl," "Shift" and "X" all at the same time. To help other race's by instantly completing all of their projects, press "Ctrl," "Shift" and "J" simultaneously. To research all technology within the game, you must press "Shift," "Ctrl" and "R" at the same time.
