Multiplayer Unlocks
The first types of unlockable items that you can use for multiplayer games are mostly accessories and a variety of skins. These include faces, skins, head gears, torso and waist equipment. These unlockables do not affect game play much in terms of player abilities. Although their effects are limited to cosmetic changes, they allow you to customize your character as much as you want. Creating your own unique look to stand out from the crowd comes in handy in multiplayer games. Unlock these items by spending anywhere between 500 to 30,000 CE.
Single-Player Unlocks
You may also use CE points to unlock weapons and items for the single-player missions. You can unlock these bonuses anytime, as long as you have the required CE points. The Laser Sight rifle attachment and the M8-62 Shotgun rifle attachment are two early unlockables. Use can use local Influence to unlock a similar set of items. A rating of Average is enough to unlock such things as an AK-47 rifle, a Crossbow and a M1918 machine gun. Getting a Superb rating may be difficult, but unlocking such weapons as a SR-22 rifle and F90 submachine gun are a reward.
Movie Unlocks
In addition to the gameplay itself, a video game's graphics affects its quality. Players often find it a real treat when in-game movies play in between missions or as a cutscene. Once you complete various in-game tasks, you can unlock and watch a variety of these movies with your PSP. Usually, you must complete a specific mission to unlock its corresponding movie. For instance, completing the mission Traffic Control unlocks the movie Turning Point. You can expect to unlock as many as 12 movies throughout the game.
Crosstalk Unlocks
One of FTB 2's main features is its ability to sync with "Socom: Combined Assault" for the PS2. This feature enables you to share a single story arc, events and unlockables between the two games. You can unlock characters by using the synch feature and completing certain requirements. Unlocking characters requires you to complete "Combined Assault" with certain rank requirements. To unlock Jester, for example, you must complete the game with a rank of Admiral. You can unlock the theme song for "Combined Assault" via crosstalk and play it on your PSP anytime.
