Fast Lives
Collect 10 coins, then go to the Airport level and collect 50 coins. Quit without saving to return to town. Go back to the Airport, collect 10 coins to reach 50 again. Repeat as many times as you'd like.
Fast Lives No. 2
Obtain the Red Nozzle in Delfino Plaza and blast the roof of the building directly behind the fountain where your nozzle boxes are located. A sewer pipe will appear. Go down the pipe to enter Sirena Beach and select Episode One, The Manta Storm. Upon loading, go immediately left and ground pund the middle crate. An extra life will appear. Turn around, go to the right side of the board and clear the slime between the tree and the hut to rescue two characters. They will give you an extra life. Exit the area and repeat.
Even Faster Lives
In Pianta Village, choose the episode titled "Piantas in Need"; save all the Piantas, and the villagers will hand out extra lives. Repeat as necessary.
Conserve Lives
Another tip to building up lives is to quit when you know you are going to die. This allows you to save your lives and build up your stock.
