How to Get a Mystery Gift With Action Replay

The Action Replay cartridge for Nintendo DS allows players to access secret in-game power-ups and items. One such item is the "Mystery Gift" secret for "Pokemon Pearl" and "Pokemon Diamond." With an Action Replay code, "Mystery Gift" will be enabled, the gift itself being a flute that grants access to a secret area of the game usually open only to players who attend a special Nintendo event. Accessing the area requires inputting a code and then talking to the right in-game characters.

  Boot your Nintendo DS up with the Action Replay cartridge inserted. Choose "Enter New Code" and enter the following code:

  Tap "OK" to confirm the code and bring up the "Insert Game" screen.

  Insert your game of "Pokemon Diamond" or "Pokemon Pearl" to start the game. Tap "Continue" to load your game and press "L" and "R" within the game to activate the cheat code.

  Travel to the TV station in the town of Jubilife and walk up the stairs to the third floor. Talk to the man at the south end of the floor.

  Select the words "Everyone" and "Happy" then the words "Wi-Fi" and "Connection." The man will tell you your gift is ready.

  Exit the TV station. Go to the PokeMart to find a man in green. Talk to this man to get the Mystery Gift, a magic flute that can open a portal to another realm if you play it while standing at the "Spear Pillar" landmark in the center of the game world.
