• You can follow these tips for “MahJong Quest” to solve puzzles faster and acquire more points.

  Take a moment to analyze the puzzle and come up with a plan before you click on any tiles. The clock doesn&'t start until you click on your first tile.

  Clear tiles by targeting tiles that compose the most sets, then go after them one after another to achieve bonus points. For instance, clearing a pair of Blue Dragons followed immediately by another pair of Blue Dragons rewards you with 10 points for each Dragon and 25 bonus points.

  Match the yin and yang symbols in as few moves as possible. The more tiles that remain on the board, the more bonus points you will receive.

MahJong Quest Tile Values

• You can better use the above strategies if you know the point values of the tiles in "MahJong Quest." Each tile has two point values; you earn one value by clearing the tile and the other value by leaving the tile on the board. The latter value is always greater than the former.

  Regular tiles, including Plant and Season tiles, are worth 15 points when you clear them or 50 points if you leave them alone.

  Wind tiles are worth only 10 points when you clear them but are worth 50 points if you leave them alone.

  Like Wind tiles, Dragon tiles are worth only 10 points if you clear them. However, they are worth 1,000 points if you leave them alone; therefore, Dragon tiles should be the last tiles you touch.

  Finally, Special tiles are not worth any points if you clear them; they are, however, worth 250 points if you leave them untouched. As you decide whether to use a special tile, compare its worth to the worth of tiles you would have to clear instead if you do not use the special tile.
