How to Use the M3 DS Real in Nintendo DS Games

The M3 DS Real is a media cartridge for Nintendo DS that allows players to extend their console for use as an MP3 player, video browser and personal organizer. The cartridge can also be used to implement cheats and slow-motion for DS games. This is done by adding Action Replay code functionality to the M3, after which the cartridge can double as an emulator for Codejunkies' popular Action Replay family of cheat cartridges and game modifiers.

Instructions

  Download the Codejunkies Action Replay Code manager software (see Resources). Unzip to your desktop and double-click the \"Setup.EXE\" file to install.

  Open the Action Replay Code Manager Software from the desktop or the \"Action Replay DS\" folder of the Start menu.

  Right-click the entry for \"Codejunkies US Games\" in the software's Subscriptions panel and select \"Copy.\"

  Right-click in the \"My Codelists\" panel and select \"Paste.\" Wait for the progress bar to indicate that the codes have been added to your database.

  Open \"My Computer\" and navigate to the \"C:\\Program Files\\Datel\\Action Replay Code Manager\\local_codelists\" folder. Right-click the file \"customcodelist.xml\" and select \"Copy.\"

  Connect the SD card you use for your M3 DS Real cartridge to your computer using the M3s SD card reader. Open the card's root directory in \"My Computer\" and select \"Paste.\" Eject and remove the card and insert it into your M3 DS Real.

  Insert your M3 DS Real card into Slot 1 of your Nintendo DS and turn the system on. Select the game you wish to use cheats for by tapping it with your stylus.

  Tap \"Select File\" and double-tap the file \"customcodelist.xml.\" Turn all options to \"On\" and tap the \"Cheat\" tab at the top of the screen. Select the cheats you wish to be accessible in-game then return to the \"Config\" tab and tap \"Start.\"

  Hold \"Select\" and press the joypad to the left to enable your cheats in-game. Hold \"Select\" and press the joypad to the right to disable cheats. Activate slow-motion in-game by holding \"Select\" and pressing \"L.\" Slow-motion can be deactivated by pressing the same buttons.
