Street Fighter II
The original Street Fighter II allows you to play the game without distractions like the timer, on-screen meters that tell you the players̵7; life bars, and the sound. Just repeatedly select ̶0;Options̶1; on the main menu and press ̶0;Start̶1; 28 times.
The game does not allow players to select the same character except by entering this cheat code when the Capcom logo appears when you turn on the game: ̶0;Down,̶1; ̶0;R,̶1; ̶0;Up,̶1; ̶0;L,̶1; ̶0;Y̶1; and ̶0;B.̶1;
In the single player mode, you can bypass any characters you̵7;re having trouble with. Make sure you have a second controller plugged in and press ̶0;Start̶1; during a match with the troublesome opponent. This will allow the second player to come in as a new challenger and take Player 2 to the character selection screen. Choose the same character that was giving you trouble. When you defeat him, you̵7;ll resume fighting in single player mode and the game will have moved on to the next character. However, you cannot use this trick to defeat boss characters that can̵7;t be selected on the menu screen like Sagat, Balrog, Vega and M. Bison.
Street Fighter II Turbo
While the game is already a sped-up version of Street Fighter II, players can further speed up the gameplay by entering the following code on the Player 2 controller when the Capcom logo disappears on screen after you turn on the game: ̶0;Down,̶1; ̶0;R,̶1; ̶0;Up,̶1; ̶0;L,̶1; ̶0;Y,̶1; ̶0;B,̶1; ̶0;X̶1; and ̶0;A.̶1;
Similarly, when the copyright information disappears you can enter a code to disable players̵7; abilities to perform special moves. The code is ̶0;Down,̶1; ̶0;R,̶1; ̶0;Up,̶1; ̶0;L,̶1; ̶0;Y̶1; and ̶0;B.̶1; You can also enter this code on the Player 2 controller on the stage selection screen to enable or disable special moves as desired.
The single player bypass cheat also works in this version, but because the game allows you to play as all the boss characters, the cheat works for every fighter except for M. Bison, the final boss.
Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers
Like previous editions, you can bypass opponents in the same manner by having the Player 2 controller interrupt a single player game and play as the character you were previously fighting. You still must fight the computer for the final boss battle.
To play as eight versions of the same character in Group Battle mode, press ̶0;L̶1; followed by ̶0;R̶1; repeatedly until laughter sounds from the game. Then select as many versions of a character as you want.
