Ice Age Alley

• Set on a snowy hillside, Ice Age Alley is the third level of the Donkey Kong world Gorilla Glacier. Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong must use ropes and tires to jump from one part of Gorilla Glacier to the next. Enemies in the Ice Age Alley include Kritters, Klaptraps, Neckys and Manky Kongs.

• A basic part of the Donkey Kong Country game is collecting bananas. There are a number of hidden bananas in the Ice Age Alley level. To get to them, use Donkey Kong to jump up onto the first orangutan that can be seen throwing barrels. Once the orangutan is knocked off, try to position Donkey Kong in the area next to where the orangutan was. At this point, Donkey Kong should be able to collect a bunch of 10 bananas.

Ice Age Alley glitch

• There is a glitch in the Ice Age Alley level that allows the player to destroy the background image of Ice Age Alley. To destroy the background image of Ice Age Alley, go immediately left when the level begins and have Donkey Kong grab Expresso the bird out of his cage. With Expresso, Donkey Kong will be able to fly. Use Expresso until you come across two Neckys. Jump down from Expresso and knock off the Neckys. This will get you to the first bonus.

  Once that is completed, grab Expresso again and exit. When you come to the next part, go left and jump up the cliff side. After attempting to jump up the cliff side, go back to Expresso's cage. Once you stop at Expresso's cage, proceed through the level as you would normally. If the above steps were done correctly, you will notice that the snow does not stop falling and the sky will turn from blue to purple then back to blue. On the last color change, the background will appear to be gone. You still will be able to proceed through the level, which will turn yellow as you continue.
