Hot Key Cheats

• Several cheats can be accessed quickly by simply pressing the corresponding hot keys. For example, pressing "CTRL+P" gives you immutable structures; "CTRL+T" gives you a new resource menu; "CTRL+Q" gives you quick construction and "CTRL+C" allows you to view the game's ending immediately.

Cheat Codes

• Very few cheats can be enabled using hot keys. For the rest you'll need to enter a cheat code on your keyboard. Remember, in order to enter these cheat codes, you'll need to first hit the "Enter" key while you're playing "Age of Empires: Gold Edition," then you can type the appropriate code.

  Some of the most popular codes include "PEPPERONI PIZZA," which gives your army 1,000 food. "COINAGE" yields 1,000 gold pieces; "quarry" provides 1,000 pieces of stone and "woodstock" gives your army 1,000 pieces of lumber. While these codes provide your army with the basic necessities for building a mighty kingdom, there are some other cheat codes to take advantage of, as well.

  Using the code "steroids" means your buildings and units will be created instantly, which can give you an enormous advantage over your opponents. Entering the code "HOYOHOYO" makes all of your priests faster and stronger, and the code "upsidflintmobile" will make your chariot arches move much faster than normal.

Fun Codes

• There are some cheat codes for "Age of Empires: Gold Edition" that add a little bit of fun and variety to your game. The code "BIGDADDY" gives you a black sports car equipped with a rocket launcher, while "BIG MOMMA" gives you the same car in white. Entering the code "JACKBENIMBLE" will cause your catapults to throw half-dressed villagers and "stormbilly" calls in a robot to help your army.

Winning Codes

• If you absolutely cannot beat your opponent, don't fret--there are plenty of cheat codes you can use to make winning the game much easier. For example, you can eliminate all of the enemy forces simply by typing in "DIEDIEDIE," and you can instantly win any battle by entering the code "home run." The code "KILLX" can be used to kill player X. "NO FOG" can be used to remove the fog of war and "reveal map" will show you the entire game map.
