To increase the yield a food source provides, send every available villager you have to the gathering point. Sending a large amount of villagers to a coconut tree or to harvest a crop will allow you to gather more than the maximum amount of food provided by that source.
Make sure your village has plenty of doctors. Some villagers may not fully heal after being sent to one doctor, so they need to be routed to another.
You must limit your total amount of nursing mothers to no more than 20 percent of your population. Nursing mothers will not be able to do anything other than parent for two full years.
Puzzles
If you're having trouble getting started, build a fire in the fire pit. You will need to gather wood and dry grass to start your fire.
To solve the second puzzle of the game, upgrade your technology and build a dam to alter the water's path and begin farming.
The third puzzle will require the creation of a scarecrow to scare away birds.
In order to solve the fourth puzzle, you will need to upgrade your cutting tools.
Mastery of six specialty plants is needed to solve the fifth puzzle.
You will solve the sixth puzzle when you have trained a villager to a mastery level in three skills.
Send a master fisherman to the ocean to stock it with algae-eating fish to solve the seventh puzzle.
To solve the eighth puzzle, train a villager in three levels of cultural tech and have him cut down the vines barring your path.
In the ninth puzzle, you will have to upgrade a villager to begin making stew for the village. He will require two levels of exploration tech, a cauldron and mastery of at least one specialty plant.
The 10th puzzle requires you to have three levels of culture tech and engineering. Once you do, begin to uncover the exploration site.
Puzzle number 11 requires you to build a hospital. This will require a foundation, three levels of medicine tech and three levels of engineering tech.
To solve the 12th puzzle, you will need to build a sewing hut. A sewing hut requires two levels of culture tech and science tech for completion.
To build the Gong of Wonder, you must retrieve four pieces. One of the pieces is hidden in a crate on the beach; send three master builders to open it. Once opened, use explorers to clear the thorns barring the path to the gong encasement. Prepare a magic stew for a villager so that he may dive under water and retrieve the final submerged gong piece. Once you have those three things, drop a totem into the uncovered mosaic to find the final piece of the gong.
