Mario Bros. and Zelda Character Unlock
Play 800 Vs. mode battles to gain Luigi, and 500 Vs. mode battles to gain Young Link. Complete 100 Vs. matches to unlock Dr. Mario. Play 600 Vs. mode battles to gain Ganondorf, or beat Event Match 29. You can also gain Luigi through Adventure Mode by completing the first stage so that your game time ends in the number "2." Young Link can also be unlocked by beating Classic or Adventure mode using 10 characters, including Link and Zelda.
Unlocking Pokemon Characters
Play 700 Vs. matches or play a total of more than 20 hours in Vs. mode matches to gain Mewtwo. You can acquire Jigglypuff by playing Vs. mode more than 50 times, or by beating Adventure or Classic mode using any character. Unlock Pichu by beating Classic Mode using Mewtwo or playing more than 200 Vs. mode matches.
Unlocking Other Characters
Unlock Marth by playing more than 400 Vs. mode matches or using all 14 original characters in Vs. mode at least once. Use Marth to beat Classic Mode, and do not use any continues, to unlock Roy. Beat 300 Vs. matches to unlock Falco, and play more than 1,000 Vs. matches to unlock Mr. Game &Watch.
