Cheat Codes
Enter the "Options" menu, hold the "L" and "R" trigger buttons and then enter the following button combinations to access the corresponding cheat code. Press "Y, A, Y, A" for infinite car health. Press the "Y" button four times for faster cars, and press the "X" button four times to make them faster still. Press "Y, Y, X, X" to instantly blow up cars. Press "B" three times and then press "A" to open more camera angle options. "B, B, Y, X" unlocks alternate versions of certain cars while "A, B, A, B" opens up a handful of new bonus cars. "Y, Y, B, X" adds a speedometer to the in-game HUD (heads-up display).
Secrets
Skip any mission by failing multiple times. After you fail a certain number of attempts (it varies from mission to mission), a third option, "Skip," will appear on the fail screen and it will automatically progress you to the next mission. You can get holiday-themed menu screens on select holidays. It won't do anything to alter the gameplay, but you will see Homer wearing various holiday-themed costumes. To do this, set the GameCube's clock to Christmas Day (December 25), Thanksgiving Day (varies), Halloween (October 31) or New Year's Day (January 1).
Glitches
Easily get coins by kicking a Buzz Cola crate or vending machine twice. This will cause the crate or machine to drop several coins, but it won't be enough to destroy it. Carry on through the mission and kick all the crates and vending machines to get the coins. Save your game, exit the mission, and then start the mission again. The game will reset all the crates so you can continue this process over and over again---just be sure not to actually destroy the crates or machines or they'll be gone forever. In mission two you can find an unlimited crate behind Moe's Tavern. Destroy it as many times as you like and it will keep coming back, allowing you to collect an unlimited supply of coins.
