How to Enter a Code in Manually for Action Replay Gamecube

Insert the Action Replay memory card into the second slot on the controller (Memory Card Slot B). Make sure the controller is plugged into the first player port on the GameCube.

Insert the Action Replay disc into the GameCube. Turn on the console to bring up the Action Replay menu.

Choose ̶0;Action Replay Codes̶1; from the menu. This is the third option on the menu. The game region selection screen will appear.

Select the region in which the game was manufactured. This will usually be the region in which you live, unless you are playing an imported game. It is important to select the correct region because the codes differ based on where the game was manufactured.

Choose the title of the game from the list. The title list automatically appears after the region selection screen. The code menu for that particular game will appear once selected.

Choose ̶0;Add New Cheat̶1; from the code menu. This is always the very first option in the list. A code prompt and keyboard will appear on the screen.

Enter the code into the prompt by using the direction pad to move around the keyboard. Press the ̶0;A̶1; button to select a letter. Choose ̶0;Done̶1; when you have finished entering the entire code. The description prompt will automatically appear.

Enter a description for the effect of the code using the keyboard. This description will appear in the game̵7;s code list. It is helpful to enter a descriptive code to make it easier to know which codes you want to activate or deactivate each time you play the game.
