In "The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time / Master Quest," a 2003 action-adventure game for the Nintendo GameCube, the main character's movements are limited to running and using weapons. However, when you receive the horse Epona for the first time, you gain the ability to jump while you are riding it. This becomes necessary when you are riding Epona and encounter obstacles in the road, such as fences and bushes. Jumping also is required, in some quests, to progress in the game.

Press "A" while standing next to Epona, to sit on her.

Move the analog stick to control Epona. Whichever direction you push the stick is the direction Epona will move toward.

Press "A" as you approach an obstacle in the road. This gives Epona a mild speed boost, allowing her to automatically jump over the obstacle.
