How to Make a Shadow Pikachu

While playing through Pokemon Coliseum for the GameCube, you'll encounter various shadow Pokemon. While you can't make a regular Pikachu into a shadow Pikachu, these Pokemon can be captured, allowing you to use them in various battles throughout the game. Note that shadow Pokemon, such as the shadow Pikachu, are restricted to one move, the "Shadow Rush." If you want your Pokemon to learn other moves, you'll need to remove the shadow status from them by either putting them in a bunch of fights, or putting them in day care.

     Get into a battle. Your female sidekick will show you the shadow pokemon (if there is one involved in the battle).

     Use your attacks to lower your enemies hit points -- but don't kill them.

     Add a status effect to the shadow Pikachu by using one of your Pokemon's status inducing attacks. Any attack that paralyzes your opponent is a good idea.

     Use one of your Pokeballs, such as your "Ultra Ball" to capture the shadow Pikachu.
