How to Become Dark Giga Bowser on Super Smash Bros: Melee

You've had "Super Smash Brothers: Melee" for a while and you've mastered the gameplay. With your impressive skills you can beat the Adventure Mode in less than 18 minutes. You've just beaten Bowser, which should end your run, but instead, Giga Bowser challenges you. This huge and overpowered Bowser is nearly twice as large as his little clone and packs a killer punch. Defeating him gets you a trophy, but doesn't unlock him as a playable character; you'll need an Action Replay code for that.

Things You'll Need

GameCube Action Replay disc
GameCube Action Replay memory card

Instructions

  Insert your Action Replay memory card into a free port on the front of your gaming system. Insert the disc and press "Power." Action Replay will load to a menu.

  Select "Action Replay Codes" and then select "Super Smash Brothers: Melee" from the list of games.

  Check the list of codes for "1P Giga Bowser." If it is on the list, highlight it and click "A" to turn the code on. If not, select "Add new code." Type "1P Giga Bowser" for the name and then enter the following code:

  Press "Start" when you have finished selecing the Giga Bowser code. You will see a message on the screen stating that Action Replay is updating hardware. When the message clears, open the disc tray and remove the disc.

  Insert the "Super Smash Brothers" disc and close the tray. Start the game and Giga Bowser will be your character.
