How to Get Shadow Dragonite

"Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness" is a game for the Nintendo GameCube that introduces new characters to the world of Pokemon, including "Shadow Pokemon," corrupted versions of well-known Pokemon that must be captured and purified to remove their shadow corruption. The most powerful of the Shadow Pokemon is the Shadow Dragonite, and as such is the last Shadow Pokemon that you encounter. Once captured and purified, the Dragonite can learn a move that is otherwise not available to it in the game.

Instructions

  Play through the game, capturing and purifying the 82 Shadow Pokemon that unlock the Shadow Dragonite encounter. The Shadow Pokemon are used by boss trainers and other enemy characters throughout the course of the game.

  Train your active Pokemon until they are at level 50 or above. Pokemon gain levels by earning experience while battling and through the use of special items such as Rare Candy.

  Travel to the town of Gateon Port. Your Miror B Radar will indicate that Wanderer Miror B is in the town; he has the Shadow Dragonite in his active party.

  Visit the Gateon Port Lighthouse. Wanderer Miror B is at the top of the lighthouse, dancing with his five Ludicolo Pokemon. When you approach him to talk to him a battle will begin.

  Use flying or poison attacks against the five Ludicolos Miror B uses, as they are super effective against Ludicolo. Each Ludicolo is level 57 and uses the attacks "Growl," "Astonish," "Absorb" and "Nature Power." Continue battling until all five Ludicolos are defeated.

  Battle the Dragonite that Miror B uses after the Ludicolos are defeated; the cutscene introduction to the battle confirms that this is a Shadow Dragonite. The Dragonite's level is listed as "55+," and it uses the moves "Shadow Storm," "Shadow Down," "Shadow Rush" and "Shadow Shed."

  Continue battling the Dragonite until its energy is at least 3/4 depleted and its energy bar is either yellow or red. Use a Snag Ball to capture the Dragonite, allowing you to use it in battle or to purify it and learn the "Heal Bell" ability.
