How to Fix the Region Error on the WiiGator GameCube Launcher

The WiiGator GameCube Launcher allows Wii owners to launch GameCube games from any region using the Homebrew application. When you use a game from another region, errors often occur in the transfer of video and data. Your screen may flicker or become blurred, or the game may not load. The GameCube Launcher has easy ways to help fix these errors and enable games to run properly.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove any discs currently in the Wii. If the Wii tries to read the disc before you load the proper software, it may not load correctly.

    • 2

Load the GameCube Launcher channel. Insert your disc and give the Wii a few moments to read and process the game.

    • 3

Insert the GameCube controller into the port on the top of the Wii. The controller can be used on the GameCube Launcher menu and helps set regional settings.

    • 4

Press "Y" for an NTSC game from American. Press "X" for a PAL game from outside the United States. If the game is a PAL 60 game, press "L." The PAL60 label will be on the game disc.

    • 5

Go to the "Force Region" menu and press "A." Scroll down to "Force PAL to NTSC." This will make the video work on U.S. television. Press "A" to confirm the settings and go to "Load Game."
