"Animal Crossing" offers players dozens of minigames and distractions to keep themselves busy with. The end goal of these activities to improve your town into a thriving community. One way to do this is to purchase paintings and donate them to the museum. You can buy paintings in two locations: Redd's Tent and Tom Nook's Shop. Because "Animal Crossing" randomly generates its towns, the exact locations of these stores will vary among players.

Visit Redd's Tent and speak with Redd. He has a wide selection, including nine paintings. Each one costs $1,960.

Go to Tom Nook's Shop. He offers only six paintings, and as with Redd, these paintings cost $1,960.

Walk to the museum and speak with the curator. Give him the paintings as you purchase them. He'll hang them, improving the culture value of your town.
