Instructions
Play through the game until you get to the Final Rush level. Partway through the level, you come to an area with several grind rails suspended in midair.
Take the middle grind rail. At the end of the rail, bounce off a spring and land on a new platform.
Jump on the yellow and orange grind rail on the platform. Crouch down to pick up speed as you grind on the rail. Fly off the rail and grab a rocket, which propels you to a new area.
Collect the 1-Up on the ledge, if desired, then jump to the ledge slightly below you. Jump on the spring, and go up the next rail. At the top of the rail, run into the glowing green light to get the Mystic Melody ability.
Exit the level, and select City Escape from the map. Get to the second checkpoint. Hit the speed booster to make it around the upside-down loop. When you come out of the loop, Sonic runs down the wall. At the end, he flies off and grabs a pole.
Drop off the pole, and turn around. Press "X" to use the Mystic Melody at the small stone shrine. A spring is revealed. Jump on it, to grab onto an overhead pulley.
Tap "A" to leap to the next pulley. When you see an enemy approaching, do a homing attack in its direction -- to bounce off its head and reach the next pulley. Do the same thing on the next platform.
Approach the floating spring in front of you. When the spring moves higher, jump onto it. Wait for the enemy to lower his force field, then bounce off him and to the pole above you.
Jump off the pole once you are swinging on it quickly. Press the left analog stick forward as you fly through the air, to land on a platform where the Chao is. Run into the Chao to pick it up and finish the mission.
