How to Get to a New Town From Your Town in GameCube's Animal Crossing

One of the many interesting features in the Nintendo GameCube videogame "Animal Crossing" is the ability to travel to neighboring towns. Visiting other towns allows your character to meet new animals, collect exotic fruit to plant when you return home and to explore an entirely different world. You will never know what to expect when you visit a new town for the first time and you might make new friends with the kangaroo, cat and gorilla residents of the town you vacation in.

Instructions

    • 1

Start a pair of town save files using two different memory cards. A saved file of "Animal Crossing" takes 59 memory blocks of data.

    • 2

Plug both memory cards into the card readers located on the front of the Nintendo GameCube console.

    • 3

Load the "Animal Crossing" town that contains the character you want to play as.

    • 4

Walk north to the train station and talk to Porter the monkey. He will ask if you want to visit the town saved on the other memory card. Choose to visit the town and you will travel there by train.

    • 5

Talk to the villagers while collecting exotic fruit and items in the new town. Use Porter's train to return to your home village and to save your game's progress.
