How Do You Catch Jirachi on Pokemon Coliseum?

"Pokemon: Colosseum" is a spinoff of the main "Pokemon" franchise for the Nintendo GameCube. The game focuses on battling on Pokemon trainers, typically pitting the player against elite and legendary Pokemon. Jirachi is one of the legendary Pokemon that the player will encounter repeatedly throughout the game. However, at no point can you catch it. Instead, if you have the "Colosseum" bonus disc, you can use it to load Jirachi into "Pokemon: Ruby" or "Sapphire" on the Gameboy Advance. Only with the bonus disc can you get access to Jirachi without cheating.

Instructions

  Get the "Colosseum" bonus disc. This was shipped to all players who pre-ordered the game in 2003. Check auction websites such as eBay to find a copy.

  Load your "Pokemon: Ruby" or "Sapphire" game. Go to a Pokemon Center. You'll find one in every city in the game.

  Open your party menu and dismiss a Pokemon. You need at least one open space in your party.

  Turn off your Gameboy Advance.

  Insert the "Colosseum" bonus disc into your Gamecube. Turn it on.

  Push the right arrow key on the main menu. This selects the option "Special Gift
  
  Jirachi." When you select it, the screen tells you to connect your Gameboy Advance to your Gamecube. Do so using the link cable.

  Turn the Gameboy Advance on when the screen prompts you to do so. Wait for the loading process to complete. Turn off the Gamecube.

  Open your party menu. Jirachi is now in the empty spot.

GameCube
