How to Get Inside Death Mountain on the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest

Enter the Death Mountain Trail through the gates found in Kakariko Village. For the guard to open the gate you must first have a note, giving you permission to pass, from Zelda in Hyrule Castle.

Follow the trail higher up the mountain, killing any enemies and using bombs to destroy any boulders that are in your way. Avoid the rolling Gorons, which look like rocks tumbling down the path, and turn left at the red flag to enter Goron City.

Go past the wooden ledge and drop down to the bottom of Goron City. At the bottom you will find a rug outside of large door. Stand on the rug and play Zelda's Lullaby on your ocarina by pressing "C-Left," "C-Up," "C-Right," "C-Left," "C-Up" and "C-Right" on the controller. This will open the door to Darunia's lair, where you can find the leader of the Gorons.

Talk to Darunia and play Saria's Song to him on your ocarina by pressing "C-Down," "C-Right," "C-Left," "C-Down," "C-Right" and "C-Left" on the controller. He will then give you the Goron's Bracelet, which will allow you to pick up bomb flowers and large rocks.

Go back to where you entered Goron City and exit. The entrance to Dodongo's Cavern is just outside the city's entrance. You can see a large boulder blocking the entrance just off the side of the cliff outside Goron City.

Pick up the bomb flower near the circle of rocks outside Goron City and throw it over the edge at the entrance to Dodongo's Cavern. The bomb flower should explode and destroy the boulder blocking the entrance. Jump down the cliff to go inside the dungeon in Death Mountain.
