How to Get the First Spellstone in DarkIce Mines in Star Fox Adventures

To get the first Spellstone from the DarkIce Mines in "Star Fox Adventures," you will have to defeat the terrifying creature that is guarding it. Fox and Tricky's adventures though DarkIce Mines lead them to the deepest and darkest part of the twisted mine to find the first of four important Spellstone items. The massive insect and dinosaur hybrid Galdon will put up a vicious fight to keep the stone in its grasp, so you will have to slay the beast to recover the rock.

Instructions

- 1
  Walk up to the frozen Galdon and have Tricky use his fire breath technique to thaw the monster. Once Galdon comes back to life, it eats the Spellstone and attacks Fox by spitting green acid blasts.

  Run around Galdon's massive body and hit his stubby tail three times. Galdon will proceed to eat Fox in retaliation for the slaps on the tail.

  Hit Galdon's uvula several times to be vomited back into the cave. Galdon's uvula contains the Spellstone.

  Avoid Galdon's lunging bites and acidic spitting attacks while waiting for Galdon to suck in a large amount of air through a hole in its chest. When its chest glows green and begins sucking in energy, shoot a fire spell into the hole to hurt Galdon. The monster will eat Fox for a second time.

  Attack Galdon's uvula again to rip out the Spellstone. The Galdon will vomit Fox and the Spellstone one final time and perish.
