How to Make Chaos Evolve Faster in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

In "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle," you spend most of your time racing at high speeds, collecting rings and chaos emeralds. But when you're tired of beating up your nemesis, Dr. Eggman, stop in at the Chao Garden. This optional area lets you raise tiny creatures known as Chao. Chao grow when you give them drives, or parts that fall off of robots that are defeated as you play. As you feed and care for a Chao, it eventually evolves, taking on more abilities and a new appearance. A few tricks help you evolve your Chao faster.

Instructions

  Enter any level of the game, and defeat robots to collect drives. The drives are available in different colors, and they appear randomly.

  Gather red drives if you want a "Power" type Chao or green drives if you want a Chao that excels in speed. Yellow drives turn your Chao into the "Swimming" type. Purple drives give your Chao wings, letting it fly.

  Collect small animals within the levels. Small animals add animal parts to your Chao, like bear claws or a tiger's tail. The animals also give Chao a boost in their abilities.

  Go to the Chao Garden, and hand the drives and animals to the desired Chao. Its stats increase with each item you give it.

  Determine whether you want the Chao to be evil, good or neutral. For a good Chao, interact with it with Sonic, Tails or Knuckles. An evil Chao results if you use Shadow, Rouge or Dr. Eggman. Use good and evil characters equally for a neutral Chao.

  Feed your Chao fruit from the trees in the garden. Each fruit raises the Chao's stamina. When the Chao's stamina is at level 16, it is ready to evolve.

  Stay in the garden, and wait for approximately a half an hour to two hours. Chaos grow more quickly when you are in the garden with them, so they are likely to evolve. If they do not, leave the garden, and then return. When you do, your Chao is ready to evolve.
