How to Find the Blue Onion in Pikmin

The strategy game "Pikmin" had players assume the role of Captain Olimar, who has crash landed on an alien planet called Hocotate. Olimar discovers friendly aliens called Pikmin, which he uses to help locate the missing parts of his ship. Olimar finds different colored Pikmin in nests, which he refers to as "Onions." The blue Onion contains Pikmin with gills that can travel under water. Players can use blue Pikmin to harvest pellets and carcases, which results in additional blue Pikmin.

Instructions

- 1
  Play through the main game until you reach the level called "The Forest Navel."

  Travel west from the starting location until you see a pool of water. The Onion is marked on the map by a star. Press the "Y" button to access the map

  Enter the pool of water. The top of the blue Onion will look like a circular blue object. Walk over to it and press the "A" button to activate the Onion.

  Press the "A" button to pluck the nearby blue Pikmin out of the ground. The Pikmin only appears after the blue Onion is activated.
