How to Purify Shadow Lugia

"Pokemon HD: Gale of Darkness" was released for the GameCube in September 2005. Your role is to stop a plot to take over the world by Cipher and his evil Shadow Pokemon, which you can capture and purify. Shadow Lugia is one of the more powerful Shadow Pokemon available. Purifying him will give him special abilities, but capturing and purifying Shadow Lugia can be tricky.

  Go to Citidark Isle and fight Grand Master Greevil. He will use "XD001" to try and win the fight, but it's actually Shadow Lugia. Catch Shadow Lugia using a Master Ball. If you don't have a Master Ball, you'll have to use the traditional method of catching Pokemon, which is by weakening them until they're able to be captured.

  Go to Pokemon HQ. This is where the Purification Chamber is located, which is the only method available to purify Shadow Lugia.

  Fill eight of the nine chambers with the correct Pokemon needed to achieve maximum tempo. Placing Pokemon in each chamber that are weaker than the Pokemon in the chamber before it will achieve this tempo. For example, ground Pokemon are strong against fire Pokemon, grass Pokemon are strong against ground Pokemon, poison Pokemon are strong against grass Pokemon, etc. You can try to have all eight chambers reach the maximum tempo, or you can do two sets of four to make matching Pokemon a little easier.

  Wait for a message to come up saying "Something is different about the Lugia! Maybe..." This let's you know that maximum tempo has been achieved and that the Shadow Lugia is ready to be purified. Place Shadow Lugia into the remaining chamber to successfully purify him.
