How to Get Roy on Super Smash Brothers Melee

"Super Smash Bros. Melee" is the second game in the "Super Smash Bros." franchise. "Super Smash Bros Melee" expands upon the original game with more levels, characters, challenges and rewards. One of the unlockable characters in this game is Roy from the "Fire Emblem" game series. To unlock Roy, you must first unlock Marth, Roy's counterpart throughout the series. Once you unlock Roy, you can use him in the game's one-player and versus modes.

Instructions

  Start up a "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" game.

  Select "1-P" mode and "Classic."

  Beat "Classic" mode with all 14 original characters on any difficulty. When you defeat Classic mode with the last character, Marth will challenge you to a fight. Defeat Marth to unlock him as a playable character.

  Navigate back to "Classic" and select Marth as your character. Beat "Classic" mode on any difficulty with Marth. At the end, Roy will appear and challenge you -- defeat him to unlock Roy as a playable character.
