I Can't Change the Controls on Resident Evil 4

"Resident Evil 4" for the GameCube was universally praised for its intense, fast-paced action and impeccable play control. The controls are not capable of being re-mapped to a new configuration because the default setting was developed specially to meet the needs of the GameCube controller's unique button arrangement. Players can still make adjustments to certain elements of the controls -- such as camera control -- from the title screen or at any point during the game.

  Insert the "Resident Evil 4" disc into your GameCube console and turn on the power.

  Wait for the opening title screens until the main menu appears. Select "Option" to access a menu for various game settings.

  Highlight the "Controller Setup" option to access another menu. From this screen, you can choose to invert the camera control, turn off the controller's rumble feature, or adjust the controls used when attacking with the character's knife.

  Pause the game at any point during normal game play to access the Option menu. This is the same menu from the title screen, so you can adjust these controls at any time throughout the game.
