The Nintendo Wii Won't Save Gamecube Games

The Nintendo Wii is a video game console that plays motion-based games. You control the games with motion sensitive controllers, but the console is also backwards compatible. This means that the Nintendo Wii is capable of playing games from the previous generation console known as the Nintendo Gamecube. You can even save Gamecube games while you play them on the Wii, but it is a different process than saving normal Wii games.

Instructions

    • 1

Set up the Wii vertically so the two slot covers are up in the air.

    • 2

Lift up the smaller of the two slot covers and you'll see two slots. These are for Gamecube memory cards.

    • 3

Insert your Gamecube memory card into the slot on the right side of the console. This is slot A, and the Wii will search for the memory card in this slot first.

    • 4

Power on the Wii and play your Gamecube game like normal until you get to the point where you want to save your game. When the game asks you if you want to save, select "Yes" and the Wii will save your game to the Gamecube memory card.
