How to Unlock Teen Gohan for Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2

"Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2" is a fighting game for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube consoles. It allows you to take control of one of a large number of characters from the popular "Dragon Ball Z" animated series and pit them against each other. However, not all of the characters are playable from the beginning. Some of them, like Teen Gohan, must be unlocked. This can be achieved in two different ways.

Things You'll Need

  • Memory card with "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 1" save data (optional)

Instructions

  1. Using Saved Data

    • 1

Insert a memory card that contains save data from the original "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai" game into Slot 1.

    • 2

      Turn on the game.

    • 3

      Select "Options," and click "Save/Load."

    • 4

Select your save data from "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai."

    • 5

Begin a new "Duel," "World Tournament," "Practice" or "Babidi's Spaceship" game. Teen Gohan is not available to use for "Dragon World" mode. With your save data from "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai" loaded, there is a chance that Teen Gohan will be unlocked. The more you completed in the first game, the better the chance that he will be automatically unlocked.

    Without Save Data

    • 6

Begin a new "Dragon World" game.

    • 7

Play through the game, and reach World 9, the final Dragon World level. You will start in control of Goku but will have the opportunity to switch characters.

    • 8

Change to Gohan, and move to the right to encounter Cell.

    • 9

      Defeat Cell using Gohan.

    • 10

Complete the stage, and Teen Gohan will be available to select for any mode other than "Dragon World."
