How to Get a Hero or Dark Chaos for DX

"Sonic Adventure DX" is an action game developed by Sonic Team and released by Sega for the Nintendo GameCube. Players take on the role of Sonic the Hedgehog as he collects chaos emeralds and leads a team of friends against the evil Dr. Robotnik. As part of the game, the player can raise small animals known as "Chao" if they are playing the game with a Game Boy Advance connected. If you want to turn your Chao into a Hero Chao or Dark Chao, you can do so with the right items.

     Hatch your Chao from its egg. You do not need to do anything directly to the egg to make it hatch, you just need to wait for it to hatch.

     Visit the Black Market after your Chao hatches. If you want a Hero Chao, buy Hero Fruits. If you want a Dark Chao, buy Dark Fruits.

     Feed the Chao the fruits you have bought until it enters its first evolution phase. Depending on the fruit you have fed it, you will get the Chao that you want.
