How to Add New Codes to the Action Replay for a Nintendo GameCube

The Action Replay for GameCube allows you to enter codes and modify games. Codes can give you infinite health, super strength, hidden items, and can even alter a game's appearance. Each Action Replay device comes preloaded with hundreds of codes. However, you may discover that some of your desired games and codes were not included with your Action Replay. In these circumstances, you will have to manually add the missing games and codes into the Action Replay's code database.

  Place the Action Replay disc into the GameCube and insert the Action Replay Memory Card into an available slot on the front of the console. Turn the GameCube on.

  Select "Action Replay Codes" when the main menu appears. Three flags will appear on the screen. These flags represent the different regions in which GameCube games are released: America, Europe, and Japan. Select the region in which the GameCube game you are adding codes for was released.

  Scroll through the list of games that appears and select the game you wish to add codes to. If the game does not appear in the list, select the "ADD NEW GAME" option at the top of the list. You will be prompted to type in the name of the game you are adding, as well as the master unlock code for the game.

  Select the "ADD NEW CODE" option once you have chosen the game you wish to add codes for. You will be prompted to create a name for the code and then to input the code itself.

  Click "Done" to enter the code. Once the code has been entered, the message "Updating the Action Replay Hardware. Please wait" will appear on the screen. Do not turn off the GameCube or remove the Action Replay Memory Card while this message is present. When the message disappears, the new code has been successfully added to the Action Replay's code database.
