How Can I Get Raichu in Super Smash Brothers Melee?

Raichu, the evolved form of Pikachu, is a character in the GameCube game Super Smash Brothers Melee. He can be unlocked as a playable character, but not without a bit of effort on the player's part. Beating and eventually unlocking Raichu can take some time, but will give the player a new character to play.

Instructions

    • 1

      Choose Pichu from the "Character Select" menu.

      Select Event 51. If this event isn't available yet, you will have to play through the previous events to get there.

      Beat Event 51 using Pichu. When you beat the event, Raichu will challenge you. Fight him. This battle may take a few tries, but keep trying. Raichu will replace Pichu in the "Character Select" menu, and you will no longer be able to select Pichu.
