Things You'll Need
Instructions
Remove the miniDVD from the GameCube system. A small button on the side of the gaming device opens the top-mounted tray, allowing you to remove the disc.
Inspect the underside of the miniDVD. If there are any fingerprints or dirt spots, remove the debris with a damp cloth. Wipe the disc clean by running the damp cloth from the interior circle to the edge of the disc.
Spray a few shots of compressed air towards the reading lens on the bottom of the GameCube's DVD compartment. This removes dusts that may be preventing the device from reading the disc. Don't touch the lens with a cloth or your fingers, as you may just end up scratching the lens, causing further damage.
Insert the miniDVD into a CD/DVD repair kit. This device spins the disc while it buffers out any scratches on the disc. Once the miniDVD is inserted, turn the repair kit on and let it run for a minute or so. Power the device down and remove the miniDVD. Any small scratches on the disc are now buffed out and the disc is ready for use once again.
