How to Hook up a GameCube to a Portable DVD Player

The process of connecting the GameCube to your portable DVD player is similar to connecting it to your TV. Most portable DVD players include standard AV (audio/video) inputs, allowing you to connect the GameCube or any other game console to the device. On most portable DVD players, the screen will re-size accordingly to accommodate the best resolution for the game. Some DVD players will also let you change this setting manually.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the portable DVD player. Attach the AV cables from the GameCube to the corresponding AV inputs on the portable DVD player. For example, the red cable goes into the red port, blue into blue and so on.

    • 2

Connect the GameCube&'s AC adapter into any available power outlet.

    • 3

Turn on the portable DVD player. Turn on the GameCube. Set the portable DVD player to its "Video" display mode (it might also be referred to as "Input 1" or something similar). The image from the GameCube will now be displayed on the portable DVD player.
