Things You'll Need
Instructions
Receive a college degree in a field of study that will help in game-development. For instance, a business administration degree will provide you with the know-how on how to run a game-development company.
Develop an idea. Outline the entire game&'s story, gameplay, sound and look. Every detail must be plotted out before moving forward because making things up on the fly will force the game to be delayed and not properly designed, causing flaws and errors to pop up throughout the finished product.
Hire a staff. You need computer code programmers to build the game&'s language. You need 3D model creators to create the designs of everything inside the game&'s world. Audio technicians are necessary to design sound effects and compose the musical score as well.
Find a GameCube software development kit. This kit will allow your team to test the game out on the same specifications that every GameCube runs on. If your game runs inside of the kit, it will run on a GameCube.
Build the programming code in C++, which is used to build programs and games of all kinds because of its powerful backbone. Make sure that the game&'s world has pre-set rules and that every computer-controlled character has an artificial intelligence that feels realistic.
Create 3D models with attention to detail, which includes the creation of every character and piece of scenery seen throughout the game.
Form unique sound effects for everything in the game so that the players will feel like they are part of the game&'s world. Design music that will play throughout scenes, the opening and ending to further engage the players.
