Instructions

    • 1

Turn off your Gamecube and unplug the controller from its port on the front of the console. Then turn the controller over so the back is facing you.

    • 2

Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the six screws located on the bottom of the back side of the controller. Set the screws aside.

    • 3

Pry the back half of the controller gently from the front and set the back half aside. The internal components and circuit board will now be visible in the front half of the computer.

    • 4

Lift the circuit board gently from the front half of the controller and set it aside.

    • 5

Remove the yellow joystick from the controller and replace it with the more versatile grey joysticks found on more advanced Gamecube controllers. The grey stick can be purchased from any video game store or online and will allow for greater mobility in most games.

Reassemble your Gamecube controller in the reverse order you took it apart.
