How to Have a Baby in Harvest Moon

"Harvest Moon" allows players to have up to two children during the course of the game. The ability to have a baby is based on a few different conditions. Overall, children have very little impact on the game. The final ending is affected by whether or not the player has a child by the end of the game. Having two children is somewhat more difficult because the game will end before the second child is born if the player does not get married early enough in the game.

Instructions

First Child
- 1
  Purchase both house upgrades. This will cost a total of 15,000 gold and 1,000 wood. You cannot have a child in "Harvest Moon" without these upgrades.

  Get married to any girl in town.

  Raise the affection score of your wife to 450 or higher. You can raise your affection score by giving your wife gifts. Going to bed at the same time as your wife will also raise the affection score, except for Eve.

  Talk to your wife after you have been married for at least 20 days, the affection score is 450 or greater, and both house upgrades have been purchased. She will tell you that she is pregnant once these conditions are fulfilled.

  Wait 60 days after your wife says she is pregnant. She will have the baby at this point.
Second Child
- 6
  Raise the affection score of your wife to 650 or higher.

  Talk to your wife after your first child is 31 or more days old. She will tell you that she is again pregnant.
- 8
  Wait 60 days after your wife says she is pregnant. She will have your second child at this point. It is not possible to have a third child.
