How to Get JOHTO Starters in Pokemon FireRed

Johto Pokemon are rare creatures that exist exclusively in the Johto region of the Pokemon games. While Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance does not provide Johto starter Pokemon, it is still possible to get Johto starters. If you have a copy of Pokemon Colosseum as well as a Nintendo GameCube with a GBA/GameCube Link Cable, you are able to trade your Johto Pokemon from Colosseum to Pokemon FireRed.

Things You'll Need

• Nintendo GameCube
• GBA/GameCube Link Cable
• Pokemon Colosseum
• Pokemon FireRed
• Game Boy Advance

     Use your GBA/GameCube Link Cable to connect your Game Boy Advance to your GameCube.

     Turn on your GameCube and start a game of Pokemon Colosseum.

     Select "Pokemon Trade Machine" from the main menu.

     Select the Johto Pokemon that you want to transfer over to Pokemon FireRed.

   • 5

     Start a new Pokemon FireRed game on your Game Boy Advance and select your Johto starter Pokemon.
