How to Catch All Fish in Animal Crossing for GameCube

Animal Crossing for the Nintendo GameCube is the first in the series of Animal Crossing games. In this real-time game, you move to a town of animal neighbors, make friends, collect items, expand and design your house and earn money to pay for the items and housing developments. Fishing can be a profitable way to help pay off your house expansions or afford the expensive furnishings. You also can collect fish to display in your house or in the museum.

Instructions

  Obtain a chart of all the fish in the game. You can download and print a chart online from the IGN, GameFAQs or Super Cheats websites. These charts will give you all the information for each type of fish and allow you to make a checklist of the fish you have caught.

  Obtain a Fishing Rod from Tom Nook̵7;s store in the game. This may not be available the first day you play, so you might need to keep checking back until you find it.

  Fish in the different bodies of water. Certain fish can be caught only in a stream, in a pond or in the ocean. Refer to the chart to see which fish you can find in what type of water.

  Fish at different times of day. Certain fish only come out at certain times of the day. Animal Crossing advances in real-time, based on the internal clock of your Nintendo GameCube. As long as you have set it to be the same as your own clock, you can use your own real time and the fishing chart to determine when you can catch certain fish.

  Fish at different times of the year. Certain fish can be caught only during certain months. Refer to the fishing chart to determine which fish are available during your current time of year. You will have to fish through every season if you want to catch every fish.
